Nicole Richie’s Wedding Wishes Come True!
On Saturday December 11, Nicole Richie tied the knot with Good Charlotte rocker, Joel Madden, at her father, Lionel Richie’s home.
Richie, 29, and Madden, 31, exchanged vows under a tent transformed to resemble a French garden. Both of their children attended the ceremony, including Harlow, 2, who served as flower girl and 15-month-old Sparrow, serving as ring-bearer.
For her big day, Richie made two of her childhood wedding wishes come true. She accomplished the first, to wear a showstopper dress inspired by the iconic Grace Kelly wedding gown, by wearing three Marchesa dresses, with one featuring a ball-gown skirt crafted from over 100 years of hand-draped silk organza and tulle petals.
To fulfill her second wedding day wish, Richie included a real life elephant in the ceremony – for luck.
“It was magical,” Richie shared with People magazine.
Madden also commented on his wedding day, telling People, “it was the best night of my life.” Continue reading

Christina Aguilera Files for Divorce
Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and pop star, Christina Aguilera, star of the new hit movie Burlesque, filed for divorce from music executive husband, Jordan Bratman.
“Things were so unhealthy and unhappy for both Jordan and me,” Christina stated in an exclusive interview with People magazine, “I knew I had to end it.” Christina also added, “I really didn’t want to hurt Jordan, and I felt torn about splitting our family up.”
The decision to end her five-year marriage was not easy for Christina but she felt strongly that a divorce would be best for her 2 ½-year-old son, Jordan. “When you’re unhappy in your marriage, your children are the ones who suffer,” explained Christina. “That’s the last thing I wanted for my son.”
The tumultuous relationship of Christina’s own parents, which ended in divorce when she was 7, also influenced her decision to divorce Bratman.
Despite her divorce, Aguilera now has her eyes set on a new man, Burlesque set assistant Matthew Rutler. Sources claim that the two have been out in both Los Angeles and New York City, and Christina told People, “He’s the kind of person you could spend hours with on the phone talking to and all of a sudden it’s daylight.” Continue reading
